Hi, and Happy New Year to you all!

I'm sorry that this blog has been so neglected the last months! The webshop is still open, and orders are always being processed :) I've just been to busy with other work, and I haven't had much time for crafting and drawing lately. I decided not to make new christmas stamps this christmas, as I still have a lot of last year's collections in stock. PapilioStamps is kind of a hobby to me, and I need to think about storage and money when I decide to produce new stamps :)

I made a couple of cards today with some of my older digital stamps. These are some of my favorite images, but they've been less popular than my other lines - so I guess it's just me... :-D

I've resized the stamps for these cards. The images are much bigger when downloaded. Coloring was done using a mix of Copics, Promarkers and pencils by Derwent.

Hi, you all! It's been a long summer. Not too sunny here, but we've still managed to do lots of summery stuff. But now I'm back at my drawing table, and my creative corner is cleaned and ready for dark autumn nights.

I'm introducing a new digital fairy today. She's the Fairy of the Valley, and she's bringing a bunch of lilies for you too. The two images are delivered as two separate stamps. I hope you like her :)

With all the rain pouring down here on Norway's west coast lately, I might as well have some portholes installed in my living room. And wouldn't it be fun if suddenly Nautilus came by? I think maybe this is Countess Palatine Dahlia's view from her new submarine. I know she just finished it.

Steampunk Porthole is a new digital stamp available in the store now. it measures 8x8 cm at a resolution of 300 dpi. Hope you like ;)

Hi! This is Countess Palatine Dahlia. When she was thirteen, she read Jules Verne's Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, and from that day she was a dedicated Steampunk. She is building her own steam-powered submarine in the backyard, but she doesn't know yet how to get it to the sea. She might need to build a steam-powered truck too. Off course, she's not really a countess. Her real name is Lisa. Just Lisa. But you may call her Countess Palatine Dahlia.

There are many changes to our design team these days, and I'm sorry to say that this is the last PapilioStamps DT card from our member Inge for now. She's done an outstandig job on our team, and I know that her cards has been a huge inspiration for both me and for lots of other stampers. Luckily we'll be able to see her creations on the web, when she embarks on new stamping adventures :) Thank you, and I wish you all the best, Inge!

A gorgeous card by DT Inge to showcase today. Isn't it pretty? Inge often use Kraft cardstock on her cards, and I love Kraft! It works great with any stamp, any colors and any patterned paper. I just can't get enough of it myself. Next time you are struggling to find matching cardstock, you should try it out. On this card, Inge used the rubberstamp Lydia's Fairy Costume. Yes, we still have rubberstamps in the store :)

I've been out of office for a while. Traveling a bit, and working a lot the last weeks, but I'm back, and hopefully I'll have more time for my stamps in the weeks to come.

Don't you just love DT Pops latest Papiliocard? This is digistamp Brenda the Goth Fairy again. I really heart this color combo, and Pops' coloring is fab.

I know that goth fairies may not be for everybody. You may hate the goth theme, or love it! I've had feedback from both sides. :) (I've even heard of people who dislikes fairies! :-o) I just hope I'm able to design varied images, so that everyone will find something to their liking :-)

Walking home from work the other day, I heard a tiny voice calling my name. No one was in sight, and at first I kept on walking. Then I heard it again, louder this time, and suddenly I realized there was some movement in the grass. A small fairy peeked up at me:

-Hi! I believe you've forgotten about me!
-Who are you?
-Duh! I'm surrounded by hearts, who do you think I am? she pouted.
The hearts were so tiny, but I could see them now.
-You are Fairy Valentine!
-I sure am! she grinned. -Now, hurry on home and put me down on paper. People will be expecting me within a few days!

Inge's going goth today

I want to show you this super, super cool card by DT Inge today. Inge used the brand new digistamp Brenda, the Goth Fairy for this teenage girl greeting card. I do love Inge's coloring, and the patterned kraft papers! And that crinkled ribbon is so yum!

I love the fact that digistamps can be downloaded and used as soon as I've decided on one. No need for that endless waiting for the postman. Just remember always to have black ink in your printer... :)

In a World of Fairies...

I'm lost in my little world of fairies these days, sculpting and drawing the next collection of Papilio Fairies :) Lots to do, and it will probably take me some weeks with the design, before sending them off for production.

But seeing what my wonderful DT (and others too!) does with my stamps, makes all the work sooo worth it! :)

Just check out these cards by DT Pops!

On this first one Pops used Meryl's Pearl. I think she is adorable - in my head, the mermaids are the fairies' cousins... (yeah, I'm a bit weird, I know...) I love the small pearls, see how she glued one into the shell. Super idea!

On this next one, Pops used Fairy's Short Rest. One of the most popular stamps from this collection. Georgeous colors on this one :)

Aiaiai... I'm behind on my updates! Sorry 'bout that! Lots to do, and to few hours I guess. And you may wonder why I'm showing off Christmas cards in January. Well, why not? Gorgeous things should be shown all year! :-) And DT Jorunn's New year resolution was to Remember to have fun! And I know some of you are planning to make Christmas cards each week or each month all year, to be ready for next Christmas. So girls and boys: remember to have fun while creating!

See how DT Jorunn made this beautiful standard size card with this small stamp? It's so lovely. I'll remember from now on that I can use small stamps for large cards. The stamp Four Candles is also perfect for decorating inside cards, or on the envelope.

I love this stamp - and I love this card. For some reason I imagine this picture is Lida's reflection in one of the Christmas ornaments laying on the floor. I guess it's because of the round panel DT Jorunn used for the motif. Really cool. Stamp is Lida's Kitten.

Xmas Eve in the woods...

I came to think about a norwegian parody of a Christmas song, from the sixties, about this old, poor couple living in a small cottage in the woods. Everything is just too sad for words, but then suddenly - on xmas eve - their long lost son returns from America with his luggage filled with gifts and food. I can imagine a scene like that when Herman's Returning from Town, with his rucksack brimming with presents. :)

Awesome card by DT Jorunn as usual. It's very clean and delicate, but filled with details at the same time. And check out the adorable mitten charms...

I guess they are Delivering Gifts for neighbours and friends. The large snowflake is stunning - you can find cheap snowflake ornaments in many stores, and they look great on cards!

Lida's getting the tree home for Christmas

DT Pops makes absolutely adorable cards, always filled with glitters and sparkles and colors, and layers upon layers of cool papers. Don't you just wish you could come with Lida into these sparkling snow covered woods to get the Christmas tree? I cant wait for the day before Christmas, when I'll take my own little 'lida out to get our tree. So much fun each time :)

Another great card by DT Inge this morning! For this one she's used the image Herman's Returning from Town. He's bringing lots of Christmas gifts in his rucksack :) So many great and untraditional colors on this one too.

Lida with her kitten and a paper pieced dress

Adorable card by DT Inge today, using one of the latest rubberstamps by PapilioStamps, Lida's Kitten :)). By removing the ornaments (trim them away from the paper, or put a piece of tape over it when inking up the stamp), this stamp can be used all year.

Inge paper pieced the dress instead of painting it. (stamp image on patterned paper, cut out the dress, and adhere on top of your stamped image). This is a super cool technique, and a great way to make your image match the card perfectly.

It's always so much fun to see the latest rubberstamps in use. Sometimes you think That's exactly the colors I would have chosen!, and other times it's Wow, I would never have thought of that! The Design Team always works wonders with the stamps, and I'm so thrilled each time they create with our stamps.

DT Louise made this stunning creation with two of the latest stamps from our Lida&Co. Christmas collection. Off course, these stamps works all winter, not just for Christmas. Lida's Snowballs is really cute, and has been really popular since the release. She's a bit untraditional, as the motif is landscape-oriented. Inside the card you'll find Snowball Fighting. Watch out! This snowball's coming your way!

Note: The digital stamps will be unavailable today, as we're doing some maintenance in the store. The rubberstamps are open for business as usual :)

It's been so busy lately, I've had no time left over for blogging or anything. But I've had four great evenings hosting cardmaking-classes, and if I did a good job, we might have some new stampers out there :)

I guess many of you are producing Christmas cards like crazy now, it's only one month until Christmas. Wich reminds me: Happy Thanksgiving to those of you who celebrates this holiday.

I wanted to show you DT Inge's card from some weeks back. It's so adorable! Lida's Christmas Eve

DT Jorunn has made a super cute card with one of the new rubberstamps to be released this week. "Lida's Christmas Eve". Isn't she adorable? Visit Jorunn's blog for details :)

I did some coloring yesterday, and I wanted to show them off :) Above is Lady Winter (digistamp) - I think she turned out really pretty in lilac. I also made a version in mint, and one in pink - they all turned out great. Some stickles on the snowflakes and on her crown made her sparkle!

Angel - the Truth and Angel - the Way (below) are two of the latest digital stamps - released this weekend. They are fairly large - 14 cm tall, and are great for any 6"x6" card or other projects. It seems as Fairy Snow is one of the real best sellers by PapilioStamps. I'm not really surprised, cause she is a beauty if I may say so :)) Luckily there are still some in stock, if you would like one of your own.

I think our design team loves Fairy Snow too, they've been making lots of Fairy Snow cards this fall. This one is by DT Jacque. Isn't the colors here just marvellous? A Christmas card doesn't have to be red or green - why not go for a rich advent purple?

I love DT Pops' colorful cards. Look at this cheerful and sparkly Christmas card. Pops does her coloring using markers and chalks, and I find the chalks gives a really dreamy touch to the images. Both The Christmas Fairy and Fairy Mother (below) are digital stamps. That means they can be downloaded immediately after purchase, and printed. No need to wait for the post - just shop and create.

If you never tried using digital stamps before, you might want to start out with a free motif first, and you'll find one in our blogpost from two days ago. :)

A letter for Magnus

I guess some of you are already longing for those lazy summer days, with shorts and t-shirts and sunny weather. Or early fall, with delicious apples and colorful mushrooms. DT Inge's card made me think of late august and the last summer days, allthough no white dove came with love letters for me :-D

But this is Magnus (Letter for Magnus), he got a letter delivered this summer. Maybe it was from Maya or Lydia. Or could it be from Lida? Who knows? He wouldn't tell, he just hid it in his pocket and rounded the barn to read it in private.

I'm totally in love with the colors on this card. So retro, and so cool. Just awesome :)) Check the details on Inge's blog.

Hi all!
I just finished a new collection of rubber xmas motifs, and sent it off for production. It will take a few weeks, and while waiting I can finally concentrate on some new digis! :) First out is this cute pic of Lida. Halloween's coming up, and Lida is trying her new ghost costume. She can't decide whether to dress up as a witch or a ghost. The cat is coming along no matter what.

Check out this awesome, cute card by DT Louise! She's been using Baking Lida on this one, and inside the criss-cross card she's been decorating with some of the stamps from 7 Sorts of Cookies.

I love how Louise used a puffy white pen to decorate the brown paper! It makes the whole card look like one big, yummi card of gingerbread. Sweet!

You can be absolutely sure your christmas mail will be delivered fast, when the birds and the squirrels are letter carriers. And there are creatures living in the woods who sends and receives christmas letters too - believe me ;)

This adorable card was made by DT Jorunn using the stamp "Ilpost". See how she used ice blue coloring around the image to give it that cold, winter feeling. That's a great effect. I do think Jorunn used some waxed linnen thread for the button and the tag. Waxed thread are available in craft stores, and are great for cardmaking, as it stays in shape when you make pretty bows like this one. If you have some laying around from e.g. beading, try it out on a card :)

We don't traditionally bake cupcakes for Christmas here in Norway, but why not start a new tradition? Anna decided on cupcakes this year, but in addition to the usual seven sorts of cookies her grandma always made too.

DT Inge made this amazingly beautiful card with the stamp Anna Serverer. Don't you just love the colors she used? This kind of colors suits this line of stamps perfectly.

I do believe that Pops loves magic and fairies and everything that sparkles and is pretty. Her latest card is all that, and I love it! And see what she did? She used a Copic marker to color the satin ribbon, that way it matches the image perfectly. That is just so clever! And Fairy Kitty is adorable in these minty colors :)

Ole is a real Christmas boy. He loves the christmas season, playing with grandma's christmas decorations, feeding the animals at the farm, delivering presents and christmas cards, getting the christmas tree... There just wouldn't be any real christmas without him.

Ole was named after my dear brother, Ole Christian, who was named after our great grandfather, who was named after his great grandfather and so on. It's an old Scandinavian name :)

I love how Pops chooses her colors. She is a true master when it comes to cards with monocromatic tones, and she decorates with lots of glitter and shimmering things. And we love glitter, don't we? I adore her latest PapilioStamps card. The peach colored paper and image is just so delicious :) Stamp is Fairy's Short Rest, one of the most popular fairies in this collection.

I still get lots of questions about the currencies, but I'll try to explain:

I'm moving to another apartement these days, and besides packing and working, there isn't any time for stamping. Too bad - I would love to try out these stamps on some cards myself.

Lucky for me that I have the most awesome Design Team who makes the most awesome cards!

Here's Jorunn's card with the brand NEW "Julekor"! The title of the stamp means "Christmas choir", but the Ole & Anna collections had Norwegian titles from the beginning, and I decided to keep it that way.
I love Jorunn's card. The checkered paper is perfect for these Scandinavian Christmas themed stamps, and her coloring is always exquisite!

And even though we've just released this new collection, the older Ole&Anna stamps are still popular in the store. "Britas Kaker" (Brita's Cookies) has been out of stock several times, but she is now back in stock again. Both DT Jorunn and DT Inge has been playing with Brita lately, and I love their choice in colors. A bit untraditional, but Oh So Cute!

Inge made this colorful Christmas card. So clever with the dark colored patterned paper behind the image, to make the image pop. And I really loved seeing Brita in blue. I usually use red, just as an old habit, but the blue really worked too. So fresh and noticeable color, don't you think?

Jorunn created this card in teal and brown. Gorgeous colors for christmas, and I love the vintage bookpage in the background. And I must say, nothing really beats a clean and simple bow made out of satin ribbon. I'll never grow tired of these.

Today I get to share with you this lovely card by Pops! I always thought of Angelic Lida as a Christmas stamp, but Pops used it for a Birthday card. A great idea that really works - exspecially for birthdays in the wintertime. I've been told that some stampers find Angelic Lida a bit difficult to color, but using a light blue for the shadowing is always pretty. A great idea for getting the dress to look white, is to use just a small amount of blue for shadows along the edges.

I would also like to share with you a sneak peek of the newest stamps from PapilioStamps! These will be released sometime during the week. Stay tuned !

Jorunn loves the autumn, and so do I. Don't worry if the rain is pouring down. Grab your umbrella and take a walk in the rain. Smell the air and jump in the puddles with your boots on. Then go home, light a candle, have a warm cup of tea and maybe create a card or two for someone you love.

Jorunn created this lovely card using Fairy Auburn. This fairy has leaves for wings, and they can be in so many colors, just like trees in autumn. Jorunn gave her vibrant, orange wings. Isn't she pretty?

Lida went out in the woods and chose a tree for christmas. She'll leave it for now, but in october she'll be back to take it home, and then you will all get to see it. It's so pretty. Yeah, as you probably guessed, I'm still drawing christmas stamps :)

But that doesn't mean we don't have any already. There are a bunch of stamps for Christmas and winter in the webshop. Fairy Snow is one of them. Isn't she cute? DT Jorunn made this wonderful card for Christmas, and the colors are so stunning. Turquoise was a great choice of color, and it looks so beautiful with the large snowflake and the pretty paper. Today we've got two great DT-cards to show! First one is made by Inge, using Lida's First Day at School. Check out her blog for details! Love the sentiment she added to the image, it fits really well. And all those lovely colors on this cute card :)

This image can be used for so many occasions: Starting a new school, graduation, grown-ups taking classes or courses, those who enjoy books, or just to congratulate someone on their good grades!

Next card is made by DT Jacque. This is the digistamp Trick or Treat Lida again, and isn't this a cool card? Awesome how Jacque rolled the paper back, and Lida comes flying out of the card. The cobweb paper is so halloweenish too! We don't celebrate Halloween too much here in Norway, but the halloween DT-cards lately makes me consider a real celebration this year!

DT-member Louise really creates magic with the Papilio Fairies stamps. Her latest card is just jaw dropping beautiful! This is a gatefold card with a twist, and she used both Fairy Bliss and Fairy's Short Rest to create this card. This is so much fun! The Design Team already made some stunning creations! Inge has been playing around with the Trick-or-Treat Lida digital stamp, and the result is this beautiful purple&brown card. We love the colors and the the coloring here!

Fairy Snow has been very popular after her release back in June. I guess winter and christmas never starts too early for us crafters. We just luuuv snowflakes and that fuzzy, cozy christmas feeling all year 'round. Louise came up with this gorgeous card recently, and it made me look forward to the chilly winter months :)

Pop's son celebrates his birthday on Halloween. How cool is that? She's making him these awesome treat bags for his party. Such a great idea! I'm guessing the guests will love them! Digital stamps like Trick-or-Treat Lida is so smart when you need to make a bunch of cards, gift bags etc, as you can print as many as you need. And remember: you may also resize to fit your project!

It's a bit weird posting these cards on two separate blogs, I know. I'm sorry to those of you who's already seen them on my personal blog CardsByBoop. But I think they belong here too, as they are all featuring stamps by PapilioStamps.

Today I made this one with Fairy Kitty. I think she's kind of cute when she is playing with her new kitten. I made this card with some really old papers I've had laying around for ages.

And here are some other cards I made yesterday. For the first one, I used Maya's Swim and Lida's Flipflops. I color most of my stamps with Promarkers and Inktense pencils by Derwent. You can use those pencils both dry and wet. I use Bristol paper for the most part, and therefore I use them dry, but I rub the colors really well with my fingertip to make it a bit softer.

Oh, and I suddenly remembered that I have my old Quickutz, and it came to use again. How fun is that?

And I think I know what you are thinking. You're thinking Did she really go out and buy those fish hooks just to have some matching, summery equipment laying around on her photos? No, I didn't :) I swear, I was actually out fishing before I took the pics, and they where really just laying there in my hall. But they did match, so I decided to include them ;o)
